Yay for new people!
Last night was our Movie Night in the Writing Center and we had a lot of new faces show up, which was very exciting! Coffee was brewing again and popcorn was popped for our enjoyable evening watching Disney's Mulan! Because who doesn't love Mulan? :)
Before we began the movie, everyone went around and introduced themselves and mentioned where they were from. It was great to see how friendly and outgoing all the new staff members were with one another. No doubt that WC New Staff Orientation starting this afternoon at 5pm will be fabulous!
There were also several returning consultants that made an appearance and it was great to see their smiling faces back in the WC as well!
People began showing up around 7:30pm and stayed in the Writing Center to socialize well past when the movie ended around 10pm. So the WC has not changed one bit and still deserves its title as the "Mecca of Random Conversation."
Check out the last few blog posts for a reminder of the WC New Staff Orientation schedule, but just so you know where to be when it starts...meet up in the WC tonight at 5pm for a bit of informal socializing before heading out for dinner at Xavier's at 5:30pm!
